Dear Spring, I like you.

Growing up in a country where spring time means temperatures within the 20 Celsius ballpark and above, I do struggle some days with what is considered typical British spring. Rain, fog and then more rain, with the sun appearing behind the clouds being considered a rarity than the norm, I sometimes mentally visualise I'm back in Greece, getting ready to have a nice walk down the promenade in Thessaloniki with my friends. My last mental trip was two days ago, on a Casual Friday.

What would a Casual Friday look like? A meet up with friends, a walk, coffee, some very late lunch and most possibly roleplaying at the end of the day, paired with pizza or gyros. For a day such as that I would need my most comfy clothes, which couldn't be anything else but a pair of jeans, a T-shirt, plimsolls, a scarf for the afterdark hours, a backpack and my sunnies. Interested in recreating the look?

There are many pairs of jeans on the highstreet that really do stand out and cost only a fraction of what you'd pay for a well-known brand. Check out Asos, H&M, Topshop, River Island and NewLook, they all have some amazing pieces in very affordable prices.

T-shirts with fun typography on them are all about the trend right now. They're affordable, easy to wear and you can dress them up or down, depending on the time of the day and the occasion. Personally I like them white, like this cheeky one from Asos quoting "I stole this T-shirt from your boyfriend", but I don't mind other colours too. Boohoo and NewLook are also great places to look. And yes, before you say it, I know the bearded man tee isn't a typography one, but damn it's amazing!

I have outworn a considerable amount of plimsolls through the years, of all colours and styles. Of course my personal favourites are the All Star ones, but again you don't need to spend a fortune on a decent pair of them. If you like a splash of colour or something not as common, then head to Asos for their flaming blue plimsolls, otherwise NewLook is there to cover pretty much all of your needs in minimalistic ones.

I am a known hoarder of watches. Don't ask me why, I don't know, I just get obsessed with them. I have nine and I'm still buying - I've already spotted the next two purchases, one of them being the black Asos watch in this set (reminds me a lot of an old slim Swatch I used to have). I also love bags. Absolutely adore bags. I've lost count on how many I have, please don't judge me. My current favourite, a light tan fringed backpack I carry pretty much everywhere, very similar to the nude one from Topshop here.

And then there are sunglasses. Great Scot, I tend to buy a couple of pairs every year but what can I do? I mean, with so many new ones coming out that suit my style and face it's hard to resist! I'll be on the hunt for the River Island ones sitting on the top of this collection, but I wouldn't say no to the winged Topshop ones either.

What does your casual outfit look like? Is it Swedish - you know, geometric - or boho? Girly or tomboyish? Feed my curiosity, let me know! And by all means, do suggest items you think would be perfect for me!

Until next time,
