Benefit Gimme Brow Review

You crave for your eyebrows to be on fleek? Personally I'm one of those people who refuse to draw their eyebrows until they look perfect(ly fake). My choice? Benefit's Gimme Brow.

Some of you will hate me for saying this but although I really like full brows I absolutely hate overdrawn ones. I want my brows to look as natural as possible yet as flawless as they can be. I will groom them, thread them, pluck them but I still had some sparser areas that needing a little bit of filling. I've tried quite a few brow pencils but it's really hard to find a close colour match, most pencils are warm toned and my brows are a natural cool ashy tone. Plus I needed a brow gel on top to keep them in place.

I've tried and tried and tried many products from the highstreet - I've found a couple that would do the job just about OK - but it wasn't until I visited Benefit's counter that I found the brow product that's perfect for me, Gimme Brow.

Gimme Brow is a brow volumizing fiber gel that comes in two shades, light/medium and medium/dark. It's water resistant, buildable but most importantly for me, it's natural looking. And I'm not just saying this for the sake of saying.

It's so very easy to apply too. The small spoolie gives a lot more control over the amount of product I apply, plus I always make a point to take some of the excess off before I run it over my brows. Its volumizing ability doesn't show straight away, but when the gel dries (takes a minute or two) the difference is obvious. I avoid brushing my brows twice because just one sweep of Benefit's Gimme Brow is enough to deposit a good amount of fibers through and through, adding the volume I want without making my brows look crispy.

One little tip about the shades. When I purchased mine the girl at the counter tried to convince me I needed the medium/dark one rather than the light/medium I had picked up. Yes, my brows looked darker on that day, but that was because of the brow pencil I had on and even if that wasn't the case I would have gone for the lighter shade because I know what my brows look like on a sunny, bright day. That's exactly what you need to have in mind when you pick up a shade, what your brows look under natural light. One more thing, the lighter shade is relatively cool toned but the darker one is most certainly warm toned.

Benefit Gimme Brow has already become a must have for me, but what about you? Have you tried it before? What are your thoughts, plus what other brow products are you using and loving?

Until next time,
