Cohorted Beauty Box September 2015

If you happen to follow my Facebook page then you've already read the post about a new beauty box which I promised would be a good'un. Well, I tend to keep my promises. Cohorted is a high end beauty box that will blow your socks off, so be prepared and don't say I didn't warn you!

Like every other blogger out there, I'm known to surf the interwebs looking for new and exciting things related to beauty, fashion and lifestyle. Content is out there waiting to be found and that's exactly what happened in this case. I stumbled upon it while browsing a blog and although the blog in general wasn't really my taste, the box certainly was.

This is the first box I've found with high end products in comparison to most beauty boxes that bring a mix between high street and high end, known and less known brands. There is no chance you don't recognise the brands Cohorted carries, as they tend to be advertised in every beauty and fashion magazine from here to Timbuktu.

  • the Balm Nude'tude Eyeshadow Palette: Starting  with the product that impressed me the most, which incidentally I've been craving for a good five months now! You can imagine my excitement  when I opened the box and laid my eyes on it! The French boudoir style on the lid and the naked pin up girls on the inside are the perfect expression of my somewhat naughty personality. There are four mattes, four satins and four glitters, the black is so pigmented you can use as a liner and generally you can create many nude styles with it, from morning to night looks. A great all rounder to have, I'm so chuffed! Full size, retails for £29.99.

  • NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in "Walkyrie": With the 90's being in fashion for the last year and the Jenners rocking brown lips right left and center it's not a surprise to see Walkyrie as part of this box. Great matte lip pencil, long lasting and of great quality, but then again I wouldn't expect anything less from NARS. What makes it even greater is its burnt brick red hue, making it accessible to a larger number of beauty addicts out there. I know I'll be wearing it this autumn, it's the perfect match with my red hair. Full size, retails for £19.

  • the Balm Put A Lid on it Eyelid Primer: Another product from the Balm and the perfect compliment for the eyeshadow palette, this sample eyelid primer will help you get the perfect results on your eyelids and the longevity you crave. After putting it to the test I can tell you it's great for normal, dry and oily skin types, my makeup didn't move an inch! And that name, eh? Perfect! Full size is 11,8ml and retails for £16.50.

  • Molton Brown Energising Seamoss Bath & Shower: I have to admit I've never heard of Molton Brown before so to me this shower gel was nothing more than an add-on to the box. The smell is more masculine than feminine and although it is marketed as unisex, I decided not to use it. That doesn't mean I won't be checking at the range of products though, as I'm quite intrigued. I received a 50ml sample, full size is 300ml and retails for £20.

  • Gucci Premiere Perfumed Shower Gel: What is the easiest way to promote a perfume without having to send out tiny samples of it? Send out the shower gel of course! Gucci Premiere is definitely not for those faint at heart. With its floral heart and musky base notes, it's certainly a perfume well picked for me, so I guess the shower gel just fulfilled its purpose. I'll have to wait until I get the perfume before I actually use this one, but I'm sure it will be a pleasure! The sample in the box is 50ml, full size is 200ml and retails for £31.

First impressions of the Cohorted beauty box you ask? I'm in love is my answer. There is only one thing I personally would have changed and that is the absence of an actual subscription. With Cohorted you literally have to stalk the site on the day they announce the box for each month and be one of the lucky first that get to buy it. Personally I can't do that as 90% of the time I'm at work, so I would definitely appreciate it if there was an option to prepay a number of boxes up front. Besides this, there is no fault I can find with this box. I love it and I'm telling you already, whenever I manage to get my hands on it you'll see it featuring in here.

Until next time,
